Who does he look like?

October 23rd, 2010 by Bradley

Here are the four Bozarth newborns. Unfortunately, we have less than standardized pics. But I think this confirms that Josiah clearly looks like … no, this confirms that all babies pretty much look the same.

A couple Rana-isms

April 21st, 2009 by Bradley

After crying for quite some time about her bumped, hurt shin: “I hate my bones!”

At Shoup park, Laurana kept saying that she wanted to “go on the sea horse”. You mean the teeter-totter? “Yeah, the teeter-tot! The sea horse!”

Laurana has tried to stop smiling because “it hurts my cheeks.” When she catches herself, she gives a little exasperated moan and lets her jaw go slack, massaging her cheeks in circles. This is apparently part of the reason she doesn’t want to get married; she doesn’t want to smile on her wedding day, and knows the bride is expected to smile a LOT.

Laurana scooped a bunch of dirt from a planter onto the welcome mat by the back door. Then she dumped bubble solution onto it to make mud. Her explanation for the mess? She was making glue so that she could stick her papers to the window. Thankfully, she didn’t get to the glue application step.

Why we really bought the house

March 15th, 2009 by Bradley

We picked some (maybe 3/4) of the oranges off our orange tree today… This is after we’ve already enjoyed quite a few this winter, and Sarah thinks the tree will do a lot better once we begin giving it fertilizer.

There are quite a few baby oranges that are just turning orange, some that are still green, some that are green and the size of olives, and many blossoms of various maturity. But then once they become big, it’s difficult to tell if they are ripe or not – I need a technique that doesn’t involve tasting the inside to find out!

Wishes for Tahoe

February 15th, 2009 by Sarah

I haven’t written for a long time, but here I am with Maisie on my lap blowing bubbles at me and I am writing. What has prompted me to write after more than a year? The short answer is pride and jealousy.

Pride in the Hanna Andersson snow suits I found for the kids at a great price. Jealousy of the fact that we are not at Tahoe enjoying the snow. I’ve gone to Tahoe every year since I was 4 and the past 5 years we have gone with Brad’s Stanford buddies–they are there this weekend.

So here are a couple pics of the adorable snowsuits and the extreme lack of snow in Sunnyvale. As you can see Maisie is broken hearted over the lack of snow.
